Set IP Address
The sensor’s IP Address should be changed if the 4042E sensor will be used on a
LAN, especially if more than one sensor is deployed. Each device on a network
must have a unique IP address.
The 4042E sensor may be set to use a Static IP address or set to DHCP and
assigned an IP address. If Static is chosen, a unique IP address and netmask must
be entered into the fields on the Sensor Network Configuration Screen.

NTP Settings
The Network Time Protocol (NTP) is used by hundreds of millions of computers
and devices to synchronize their clocks over the Internet.
The 4042E sensor may be configured to use a specific NTP server by entering the
NTP Servers URL on the NTP Configuration page and clicking Submit .
