The useful life of the product depends on proper cleaning and maintenance; these tasks
therefore require special attention.
10.1
Cleaning
The system must be cleaned before storage in the client's facility. Cleaning must be carried
out before and after each use.
Cleaning before use of the system

The system must be cleaned before being taken to the operating theatre
2.
Clean the outside of the machine with a lint-free disposable cloth moistened with a
cleaner specifically for electrical medical devices in at least the Class IIb category
3.
Clean the entire outer surface of the system starting at the top and working your way
down, paying special attention to the removable parts of the system
4.
Do not use harsh products such as solvents or bleach.
Cleaning after use of the system
In the event of leaks involving chemotherapy products, the safety protocol established by the
hospital must be followed. If liquid penetrates the inside of the system, do not attempt to
disassemble it. Notify technical service.

Disconnect the system
2.
Remove it from the operating theatre area
3.
Clean the outside of the machine with a lint-free disposable cloth moistened with a
cleaner specifically for electrical medical devices in at least the Class IIb category
4.
Clean the entire outer surface of the system starting at the top and working your way
down, paying special attention to the removable parts of the system
5.
Do not use harsh products such as solvents or bleach
Checks before each use
Before each use, visually inspect the system to check that it is in proper condition for use and
that there is no visible damage to any of its parts, particularly the unit that holds the heat
exchanger. Next, proceed to clean the system as indicated in point 10.
10.2
Maintenance
Periodic inspections/checks of the system must be conducted at least every 12 months by the
technical service or qualified personnel.
