
10. Select your body height by pressing the
Start/Lap/Hold Stop
button (to count up) or
the
Stop/Next
button (to count down). By pressing and holding either button units will
increase or decrease faster.
11. When you have selected your body height, press the
Mode
button to go to the next
parameter for body mass index, with the abbreviation ‘BMI’ flashing. Note that this will
be calculated automatically by the Audio Heart Rate Monitor.
12. Now press the
Mode
button to go to the next parameter of ‘VO2 max’ for the input of
your oxygen intake
13. Select the oxygen intake by pressing the
Start/Lap/Hold Stop
button (to count-up) or
the
Stop/Next
button (to count down). By pressing and holding either button units will
increase or decrease faster. An estimated VO2 max value of 45 for males and 35 for
females is recommended.
14. When you have selected your ‘VO2 max’, press the
Mode
button to go to the next
parameter to input your age, with the word ‘AGE’ displayed and the digits flashing.
15. Select your age by pressing the
Start/Lap/Hold Stop
button (to count- up) or the
Stop/Next
button (to count down).
16. When you have selected your age, press the
Mode
button to go the next parameter to
input your gender, either ‘MALE’ or ‘FEMALE’ will flash.
17. Press the
Start/Lap/Hold Stop
button to select either ‘MALE or FEMALE’
18. Press
the Mode
button to confirm and go to the next parameter for the activation or
de-activation of calorie count with the word ‘CALO RIE’ displayed and the word ‘ON’ or
‘OFF’ (depending on the status of the parameter) flashing.
19. Press the
Start/Lap/Hold Stop
button to select either ‘ON’ ( to activate) or ‘OFF’ (to
de-activate) the calorie measure.
20. Now press the
SET
button to confirm your selections.
Important: In order to be able to set the unit mode (metric or imperial), all values in the
Data function must be completely cleared.
B. Zone Setting
This parameter sets the intensity of your exercise, and thus monitors your heart rate
according to your zone selection. You may also choose to turn the zone alarm on, in
which case the devise will beep if your present heart rate is not within the target zone.
1. First go to the Exercise Function by pressing the
Mode
button until you have reached
the Exercise Function.
2. Press the
Stop/Next
button in order to go to the Zone Setting Mode. You will see the
words ‘ZONE SET’ displayed.
3. Now press the
Start/Lap/Hold Stop
button. The words “ZONE ALM’ will be displayed
and the status of the zone alarm (either ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’) will flash. Press the
Start/Lap/Hold Stop
button to choose either ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’.
4. Press the
Mode
button to confirm your choice.
5. You will now be asked to set your heart rate targets for the three different target zones,
starting with Zone 1 (your light intensity zone). The low range value of the BPM will
appear flashing.
