The optional “Data File Filter” allows you to limit the number of data points in a file for long-
lasting experiments . Selecting the “Data File Filter” checkbox enables the “Config.” button
(Figure 38).

Clicking the “Config.” button will open the “Data File Filter” window.

The window provides the option to save data when either the “Elapsed time (sec)”, the
“Displacement” (in mm) , or the “Loading” (in the load cell units) is greater than or equal to a
user-defined value. The results will not be saved unless one of the specified conditions is met. To
deactivate a condition, set it to “inf” (infinite) as the default “0” value is a co ndition that is always
met.
The “Stage Axis” and “Load Cell Axis” can be chosen on multi -axis systems.
Note: If a file designated for saved results was chosen by mistake for one function, click “Browse
Data Files” and “Cancel” to remove it.
Note: The data file filter cannot be used to manage images created by a camera feed (refer to
section “ Add-On for Camera Feed ”).
5.2.15 A Note on Acceleration
For all functions requiring a steady speed displacement (i.e. “Move Absolute / Relative”, “Ramp -
Release” and “Stress Relaxation”) and for “Manual Controls” of the stage, Mach -1 Motion
automatically sets the acceleration and deceleration at 20 times the requested velocity, up to the
maximal acceleration
. For the “Find Contact” function, the acceleration is set to 1 time s the set
velocity.
