9 Troubleshooting
BRS-CC
8.1.1 Changing the cutter
The service life of the cutter is approx. 20,000 cuts. This number is an approximate value and was
determined during experimental setup by means of a 1.0 mm steel wire (type SG 2). Deviations are possible
in case of other wire electrodes.

Carefully unscrew the cover and lubricating nipple.

Unscrew and replace the cutters.

Screw on the cover again.

Check the fixed jaws for wear; reverse or replace if necessary.
8.2 Monthly cleaning
A monthly basic cleaning is recommended, and necessary in case of extreme working conditions.

• Please also consult the operating instructions for the welding components, such as power supply,
compressed air line.

• Valve actuator does not move
• Top up anti-spatter fluid
• Check all supply lines leading to the cylinder
and the screwings
• Check signal output of robot control
• Replace directional valve
