ELECTRONIC MONITOR
To give you greater control over the
exercise, this electronic unit provides
simultaneous read-outs of speed,
distance, exercise time, calories burnt
and pulse rate.
STARTING.-
To switch the monitor on first plug the
adapter (87 6V), supplied with the
machine, into the mains socket (220 V
– 240 V) and the jack on the adapter
into the socket at the back of the
machine. (Fig.4)
The screen will switch itself on
automatically as soon as you start
exercising.
The monitor will switch itself to stand-
by mode automatically if the unit
stands idle for more than 3 minutes.

When the monitor is in stand-by
mode, the screen displays the time,
date and temperature.
SETTING THE DATE & TIME.-
Whenever the adapter (87) is
unplugged from the mains supply the
memory erases all of the memories,
including the date. To set the date,
follow these steps:
Plug the adapter (87) into the mains
socket. Characters will appear on the
monitor. Press MODE and the year
will flash. Use the keys to select
the year. Press the MODE key and the
month will flash. Use the keys to
select the month. Press the MODE
key and the hour will flash. Use the
keys to select the hour. Press the
MODE key and the minutes will flash.
Use the keys to select the minutes.
Press the MODE key and the display
will be ready to begin the exercise.
If you make a mistake when entering
any of the above data, press the
RESET key and the screen will go
back to the beginning.
STARTING THE FAN
To switch the fan on or off, press the
FAN ON/OFF key.
Whenever you finish your exercise,
make sure that the fan is switched off.
A. SCAN FUNCTION
In SCAN mode the computer
continuously scans and displays all of
the functions during exercise. The
function being displayed will flash on
and off.
To select the SCAN function:
1. The monitor starts in SCAN mode
as soon as exercise begins, the main
screen will display the SPEED, TIME,
DISTANCE, CALORIES, PULSE
RATE values every 6 seconds, this
value will also be displayed flashing
on the lower section of the monitor.
2. Press the MODE key and this will
cancel the SCAN function.
B. TIME FUNCTION
This function counts up or down in
steps of one second, up to a maximum
of 99:59 seconds. Pressing the MODE
key for more than two seconds will
reset all of the values, except those
relating to the time and date.
1. Press the MODE key until the
exercise characters appear on the
display. Select the small TIME window
so that it flashes.
