8 Taking measurements
Measuring your weight and carrying out diagnostics
Step onto the scale
with bare feet
and ensure that you are standing still with equal weight distribution and
with both legs on the electrodes
Note:
There must be no skin contact between your feet, legs, calves or thighs. Otherwise, the
measurement cannot be taken correctly.
The measurement result will be incorrect if the measurement is carried out with socks on.
The scale begins to take measurements straight away. First, the weight is displayed.
When the user stands barefoot on the electrodes, the B.I.A. diagnostics is started automatically.
If a user has been assigned, the user is briefly displayed (e.g.
); afterwards, the BMI, body fat (BF),
water, muscle percentage, bone mass, BMR and AMR are displayed.
The following values appear:
1. Weight in kg
2. BMI
3. Body fat in %
4. Body water in %
5. Muscle percentage in %
6. Bone mass in kg
7. Basal metabolic rate in kcal (BMR)
8. Active metabolic rate in kcal (AMR)
If the user is not recognised, only the weight can be shown and “
” appears.
Only measuring weight
Now step on the scale wearing
shoes
. Stand still with your weight distributed equally on both feet. The
scale begins to take measurements straight away.
The weight is displayed.
Note:
The diagnostic values cannot be calculated as B.I.A. diagnostics is not possible when wear-
ing shoes.

The scale switches itself off automatically.
