From the main the main screen press the <X> key to set the transmit frequency. The unit can be set to
transmit any frequency from 7.000 Khz to 17.500 Khz, in 250 Hz increments. The value is entered in
Hz, and 5 digits MUST be entered. So to enter 9.5Khz, enter 09500 (it is not necessary to type the
<ENTER> key).
Enter Transmit Frequency, 07000-17500 Hz (Enter 5 Digits): 09500
7.3 Changing The Enable Time
To change the enable time, press <E> from the main screen. Enter the desired enable time. The valid
range for this function is from 0 (which disables the ENABLE timer, leaving the unit permanently
enabled) to 255 hours (>10 days). You MUST enter 5 digits, thus 0 is entered <00000> and 255 is
entered <00255>.
After power up, or the receipt of an ENABLE or RELEASE command, the 865 will respond to
interrogations with an acoustic response until the time period selected has elapsed (unless a <0> is
entered), after which the unit will be mute. If an ENABLE time of 0 Hours is selected, the unit will
remain ENABLED until shut off or commanded acoustically to DISABLE.

7.4 Changing the Backup Timer
To change the BACKUP timer setting, press <B> from the main menu. Enter the desired BACKUP
time from 0 (which disabled this function – the normal setting) to 65,539 hours (greater than 7 years).
Upon being turned on, the 865 will wait for the prescribed BACKUP time and then automatically cause
the unit to RELEASE.

7.5 Enabling And Disabling The Tilt Function (on initial power up)
To ENABLE or DISABLE the tilt function (when unit powers up) press <T> from the main menu. To
enable tilt sensing press <E>, to disable press <D>.
