Adjust the aspect ratio
The / button on your remote control allows you to select an
aspect ratio best match to that of your input source. You can toggle
among following options sequentially by pressing the button:
Aspect Ratio
on your sreen
16:9 real
In HDMI mode: in
1080p/1080i/720p displays
100% of screen; in 480i/480p/
576i/576p displays 95% of
screen. In TV mode displays
95% of screen. Stretches
a 4:3 image to 16:9 aspect
proportions. Recommended
for use when viewing video
sources which are already in
16:9 aspect such as digital TV
and most widescreen DVDs.If
there is garbage on screen edge,
select the Aspect Ratio to 16:9.
16:9
Stretches a 4:3 image to 16:9
aspect proportions. For use
when viewing video sources
which are already in 16:9 aspect
such as digital TV and most
widescreen DVDs.
Letter Box
Resizes a 4:3 image to 16:9
aspect proportions, and
trims off the top and bottom
strips. Recommended for
use when viewing 4:3 aspect
video compressed 16:9 aspect
images in a 4:3 aspect frame
in a so-called letterbox format
(black strips along the top and
bottom).
