USB
A USB connection allows you to play any music files stored on USB storage
devices (such as a USB flash drive or external hard drive). In order to access
and browse the file you must first set up a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection for
your speaker, then access the files via the treVolo A app.
To play music from a USB connection follow the steps below:
1. Use either the supplied RCA cable or RCA-to-3.5mm cable to connect
any audio source with RCA jacks to the RCA port or the AUX jack
(depending on the type of cable used) at the rear of the speaker.
2. Press the AUX/RCA button on your speaker or the RCA button on the
remote control to switch to the RCA audio input.
3. Play any media on the audio source and the speakers will play the audio.
In order to ensure audio from the RCA input is of the purest quality, the RCA
connection for the speaker has been configured to an analog mode with no
equalization. Thus the volume knob on the speaker and the volume buttons on the
remote control will not be able to control the volume level of audio from an RCA
source, and volume adjustments must be made on the audio source itself.
Storage devices must use the FAT or FAT32 file format. treVolo A does not support
NTFS file format storage devices.
1. Setup a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection for your speaker. See
for more details.
2. Connect the USB storage device to the USB port at the rear of the
speaker.
3. Ensure the smart device with the treVolo A app installed is connected to
the same network as your speaker.
4. Launch the treVolo A app.
5. Enter the main menu for your speaker in the treVolo A app.
6. Select at the top left corner of the main speaker menu.
7. Select “USB” from the list of audio inputs.
8. Browse to and select the song you want to play.
Playback of music files from a USB connection can only be controlled via the
treVolo A app or by setting a file from the USB storage device as a preset channel.
