5. Never place your fingers near the cutting blades
when the tool is in use. Personal injury may occur.
6. Do not cut rebar to a length of less than 30 cm. Ne-
ver cut more than one piece of rebar at the same
time. Doing so presents a risk of flying fragments
which can cause accidents, damage, or injury.
7. Do not use damaged blades. Replace damaged bla-
des with new ones because they not only damage
the tool but also cause accidents.
8. Perform a test run before use. If there is any sign of
trouble during the test run, or any abnormal noise or
abnormal vibration, switch off the tool immediately,
stop using it and arrange for inspection or service
at an authorised service workshop. Continued use
may result in personal injury.
9. If you accidentally drop or bump the tool, make sure
it is not damaged, cracked or deformed. Damage or
injury may occur if this is the case.
CAUTION
1. Check the blades and housing for loose bolts and
screws, proper hydraulic oil level, etc. before use.
Also make sure that mounting tools such as adjus-
table spanners are removed.
2. Be sure to remove the battery during inspection,
cleaning or blade replacement. Personal injury may
occur if the tool is switched on unintentionally.
3. Make sure that nobody is below you when working
at height. Dropping tools or other materials can re-
sult in accidents, injury or damage.
4. Use only recommended hydraulic oil. The hydraulic
oil must have an international ISO viscosity grade
of 46 (VG46).
5. If hydraulic oil comes into contact with eyes, do not
rub them. Flush them immediately and thoroughly
with clean running water and consult a physician for
treatment. If left untreated, hydraulic oil can cause
eye injury.
6. If hydraulic oil comes into contact with the skin,
wash immediately and thoroughly with clean water
and soap. Failure to do so may result in skin inflam-
mation.
7. If hydraulic oil is accidentally swallowed, do not at-
tempt to induce vomiting. Contact a doctor immedi-
ately for treatment.
8. When the hydraulic oil is not in use, make sure that
the cap is firmly closed on the container and store
it in a dark location out of direct sunlight and out of
reach of children.
9. Do not store the hydraulic oil container near a sour-
ce of combustion such as heat, open flames or
sparks. This can lead to an explosion.
10. Make sure that the battery is properly installed. If it is
not properly fitted, the battery may come loose and
cause damage or injury.
11. Do not discard the battery with ordinary household
waste or burn it.
12. Store the battery out of the reach of children.
13. Use the battery correctly and in accordance with its
specifications.
3. ADDITIONAL SAFETY
INFORMATION
1. If the switch does not return to its original position,
discontinue use immediately and arrange for repair
at an authorised service workshop.
2. When using the tool:
• Make sure that the rebar is perpendicular to the
blades.
• Press and hold the switch until the piston
reaches its end position.
• The piston does not move forward again until
it has fully returned to its innermost position.
The purpose of this is to ensure that the next oil
pressure cycle is not applied when the hydraulic
valve inside the tool is open.
3. Replace the blades at an early stage. Using a chip-
ped or deformed blade may result in personal injury
as a result of flying fragments.
4. Carefully follow the instructions in Chapter 14, Sec-
tion 3, when replacing blades.
5. Always make sure that both the tool and hydraulic
oil are at a low temperature when filling the hydraulic
oil. Removing the oil plug while the tool is hot can
cause hydraulic oil inside the tool to spray out and
result in accidents or personal injury. Carefully follow
the instructions in Chapter 14, Section 1, before re-
placing or filling the hydraulic oil.
4. SAFETY INFORMATION FOR
LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES
The lithium-ion batteries have a protective function that
prevents them from becoming depleted in order to ex-
tend their service life.
In cases 1 to 3 described below, the motor may stop
when using this product even when you press the
switch. This is not a fault but a result of the protective
function.
1. When the remaining battery power runs out, the mo-
tor stops. In this case, charge it immediately.
2. The motor may also stop if the tool is overloaded.
If this happens, release the switch on the tool and
eliminate the cause of the overload. The tool may be
used again once it has cooled down.
3. If the battery overheats under too high a load, the
battery may run out. If this happens, discontinue use
of the battery and let it cool down. The battery may
be used again once it has cooled down.
4. Furthermore, please observe the following warnings
and regulations.
