6.5 Switch off the Firewall
1.
Click on the
Start
button and open the
Control Panel
.
2.
In the control panel search box type
windows firewall
and click on
Windows
Firewall
in the results list.
3.
Select the
Turn Windows Firewall on or off
option from the top left of the
Windows
Firewall
screen.
4.
Select both of the
Turn off Windows Firewall (not recommended)
radio buttons.
5.
Click on the
OK
button to accept the changes.
6.6 Switch off the Auto-updates (Optional)
1.
Type
windows update
in the control panel search box and click on
Windows Update
in the results list.
2.
Select the
Change Settings
option from the top left of the
Windows Update
screen.
3.
Select the
Never check for updates (not recommended)
option from the
Important
Updates
drop-down box, see Fig 14.
