The following options are available for the IO-Link C/Q channel (ch. A/pin
4):
 Digital Input:
In this mode, the channel operates as a digital input. In this mode, the
IO-Link master does not try to independently establish communication
to the connected IO-Link device.
However, the cyclical output bits in the COM-mode byte of the IO-Link
master status/control modules can be used to set the appropriate
channel bits of the COM mode, and thus enable the IO-Link device for
parameterization.
NOTE
During optional COM operations, the status of the digital input signal is not
updated.
