5 Configuration and startup

The configuration and startup of LioN-P/-R PROFINET modules described 
on the following pages was carried out using the 

STEP 7

 software of 

Siemens AG. If you are using a control system from another control system 
provider, please consult the associated documentation.

5.1

GSDML file

For configuration of the LioN-P/-R modules in the control system, a GSD file 
in XML format is required. This can be downloaded from our homepage

On request, the GSDML file is also sent by the support team.

The file for the LioN-R PROFINET modules is named:

GSDML-V2.3-LumbergAutomation-0980ESL80x-yyyymmdd.xml,

The file for the LioN-P PROFINET modules is named:

GSDML-V2.3-LumbergAutomation-0980ESL39x-xxx-yyyymmdd.xml,

yyyymmdd

 stands for the date on which the file was issued.

In 

Step7

 you create a new project and open the hardware manager "HW-

Config". The GST file is installed using the menu command 

Options > 

Install 

station description files (GSDML)... and the subsequent dialog. The LioN-P/-
R I/O modules with PROFINET interface are then available in the hardware 
catalog.

5.2

MAC addresses

The modules are assigned three MAC addresses upon delivery. These are 
unique and cannot be changed by the user.
