Transferring files
Files can be transferred indirectly via the
SD memory card or directly via the USB
interface.
Transferring using the SD card
reader
Files are transferred using a
conventional SD card reader (not
included in delivery). The SD memory
card is inserted in this reader.
The computer software then stores the
required files on the SD memory card
Transferring via the USB
interface
The Traffic Assist Pro can be connected
directly to a personal computer via the
USB interface.
The link then involves several steps:

Switch off the Traffic Assist Pro.
!
Remove the protective cap on the
USB socket on the underside of the
unit.
!
Connect the Traffic Assist Pro to the
computer using the USB cable.
!
Switch the Traffic Assist Pro back on:
The Traffic Assist Pro establishes a
connection to the computer
automatically.
Transferring maps
The installation software from the DVD
should be used for the transfer. This in-
volves the following stages:
!
Switch off the Traffic Assist Pro.
!
Remove the SD memory card and
insert in an SD card reader or connect
the Traffic Assist Pro to the computer
using the USB cable.

Start the computer and insert the
DVD.
!
Transfer the contents of the card using
the installation program.
!
de the SD memory card back into the
Traffic Assist Pro or remove the USB
cable correctly.
!
Switch the Traffic Assist Pro back on.
Note:
Only the maps supplied in the Traffic
Assist Pro may be used. The installation
or transfer of files or programs which li-
mit or modify the function of the Traffic
Assists is prohibited!
