NauticaRS 5.016R New Features
The following is a list of the new features available in
NauticaRS 5.016R. Further information about most of these
features is presented in Chapter 2.

Nautica Wizard has many major new features and
improvements (
page 1-3
).
•
Nautica Watch has been significantly enhanced (
page 1-4
).
•
DNS Proxy server has been added to the router (Chapter 2).
•
PPP Callback has been implemented (CBCP and RFC1570
LCP Callback).
•
Support for Auto-Detection of Switch Type and SPID
("Plug'n'Play ISDN") for USA.
•
Advice of Charge information is now interpreted by the
Nautica router.
•
Support for Mixed Leased and Switched ISDN B channels on
the same BRI.
•
The default IP address of a Nautica router is now 10.1.1.1.
•
By default the DHCP server is enabled in the SYSTEM
context.
•
By default the all-protocols parameter is set to “yes” in the
NAT context.
•
The default blacklist timeout is now 20 seconds.
•
It is now possible to disable all ISDN autocalls with a single
command.
•
System logging using Nautica Log has been implemented
(
page 1-4
).
•
Debug levels and trace messages have been rationalized.
•
NauticaRS 5.0 has additional bridge functionality.
•
IP RIP has been enhanced to support both Split Horizon and
Poison Reverse.
