ARAP is a “keyed” software feature and requires a password to be enabled at a
Model 3395A server. Contact your local Sales Representative or distributor for
more information about obtaining a password and the documentation that
describes how to configure this feature on the Model 3395A server.
Features of ARAP include:
•
Setup and administration using native procedures.
You use the standard Macintosh setup and administration procedures to
configure the remote Macintosh. Macintosh setup activities are described
in the documentation supplied with your AppleTalk Remote access
software package from Apple Computer, Inc. You use Model 3395A server
commands to configure the communication server. The Model 3395A
server ARAP-related commands are described in Model 3395/3395A
Commands Reference.
•
Compatibility with Model 3395A server security mechanisms.
ARAP can be used in conjunction with all Model 3395A server access
security methods. These methods are described in Chapter 6.
•
Model 3395A server product support.
ARAP is only supported on Model 3395A servers that use the 8-wire
cabling method and can run the enhanced or multimegabyte load image,
TS3395M.SYS.
