9.17. Additional Step for the forward escape hatch

In order to better reach the forward escape hatch when stepping on the forward berth BAVARIA Yachtbau has integra-
ted a folding step into the Stb side of the berths plywood base, see the step unfolded in blue in the below illustation.

Flip the Stb part of the matress to the other side, then unfold the step, it is hinged on two edges, so there is only one
way to unfold, jam the free edge into the recess.

Now you may use this additional step to reach the escape hatch. Make sure all crew and guests have been instructed
in the operation of the step.
