6.2 Cleaning and decalcification
Cleaning
o
The device should be cleaned regularly.
o
Remove the ice maker from the socket (pull the plug!).
o
Remove and clean the ice cube basket.
o
Clean the inside and outside the device with warm water and a soft cloth.
o
Use only a soft cloth.
Never use any type of abrasive cleaners that could scratch the
surface.
o
Never use products containing benzene, which can damage plastic parts (housing and
control panel).
o
After washing, wipe dry and polish the surface with a soft, dry cloth.
Decalcification
o
Unfavourable water parameters can lead to the formation of calcium deposits in the water
tank of the device. This calcium deposit may interfere with the proper operation of the
device. For this reason, the device should be regularly de-scaled.
o
To descale the device, use a water and vinegar solution or a commercially available
descaling preparation. Pour the solution into the water tank and run the ice-making
cycle.
o
Then repeat the ice cube production cycle1-2 more times with clean water to remove
any residual descaling solution.
CAUTION!
Ice cubes produced should be removed and
not
used for the cooling of
drinks or food!
6.3 Safety instructions for maintenance
o
Check the mains connection cable for damage from time to time. Never operate the
device when the cable is damaged. A damaged cable must immediately be replaced by
customer service or a qualified electrician to avoid dangers.
o
In case of damage or malfunction, please contact your stockist or our customer service
centre. Pay attention to the troubleshooting tips in pt. 7.
o
Only a qualified technician and using original spare parts and accessories should carry
out repairs and maintenance of the device. Do not attempt to repair the device
yourself.
