Malfunctioning
It is assumed here that the connection of all external electrical and mechanical units has been carried out in orderly fashion.
For that reason it should be checked that the electrical units have indeed been set up and connected properly.
Fault
Possible cause
Remedy
No mains voltage
Check the mains voltage supply line
Unit defective
Send in unit
The unit is not working
S 1 switch at pos. 0
Set S 1 switch at pos. 1
The electrical units are
connected without a pre-
purging cycle.
Check programming of S 2 at pos. 1
Change programming of S 2 at pos. 1.
There is no purging gas.
Connect purge gas.
Check digital valve for voltage supply.
Digital valve does not open or only opens partially.
Check valve switch for foreign particles in the
mechanical part
Increase the input pressure to the setpoint value.
Check if the purging-air nozzle has the correct value.
Insufficient purge gas flow through the control panel
Check if the “P 1” pressure switch has the correct value.
The purging time does not
begin to count down.
Required pressure is not reached in the pressure
reducer.
Purge gas supply is too low. Increase the cross-section
of the supply line.
Check the valve switch to see if the supply voltage has
been switched off
After the pre-purging cycle
digital valve does not switch
over to the small nozzle.
Valve switch does not close.
Check the valve switch for foreign particles in the
mechanical part
Pressure in the enclosure is higher than the “P 4”
switching value
Reduce the air flow in the air leakage nozzle.
The controller does not
connect the electrical units
after the pre-purging cycle.
“P 4” switching value too low
Check the “P 4” switching value.
Enclosure leaks. Valve switch attempts to maintain
the internal pressure by opening the purging-air
nozzle
Seal enclosure or enlarge passage in the air leakage
nozzle.
Digital valve connects briefly
during the operating phase.
“P 2” value too high
Reduce the “P 2” value.
