Damper Failed to Close Alarm
When the controller commands the economizer damper
actuator to the 0% position and the damper switch
indicates the damper is not closed, after a delay of
150 seconds (default timer value) the controller will
generate a damper failed to close alarm. Depending on
alarm configuration, this alarm can be set to notification
only or disable all functions of the unit while setting
the status message on the main screen to "Off by
Alarm". If the condition is remedied, the alarm can
be set to automatically reset and the unit will resume
normal operation, or require manual clearing of the
alarm. If the unit is stuck in this condition, the damper
may be jammed on something or need adjusted, and
mechanical corrective actions will need to be taken.
To learn more about the advanced alarm configuration
of this alarm, refer to the Alarm Adjustment section of
this manual.
