Input Balance
Why adjusting the input balance ?
The input balance is normally correctly adjusted in the factory. But due to signal distribution or signal transmission, a color imbalance
can be the result. This imbalance can be adjusted source by source for color critical applications. These adjustments influence
only the actual custom adjustment file.
-black balance
-white balance
The default value (factory setting) of the input balance can be restored at any time.
Note :
Before starting the Input Balance function, generate a grey scale signal (image6) with the same amplitude as the source.
Starting up the input balance
The default values are normally loaded when selecting a source. If the image is not as desired, proceed as follow :
1 Press MENU to activate the Toolbar
2 Use è to select the Image item
3 Press ê to Pull down the Image menu
4 Use ê to select the Input balance item
5 Press è to pull down the Input balance menu
6 Use é

ê to select black balance
7 Press ENTER (menu 12)
A sliderbox is displayed, as well as a
wizard box in the lower part of the screen
How to adjust the input balance ?
1 Use

, the numeric keys on the remote, or the keypad
2 perform the same adjustment for the other colors (image9)
Do the same for the white balance (image8).
Selecting "Default" restores the factory input balance setting:
default: black balance = -2
white balance = -26
