See the name of the active sound system
You can see the name of the active sound
system for a source or programme on the
screen. However, it is not possible to adjust or
preset a sound system.
To see the active sound system …
> Press TV to switch on the television.
> Press Menu to bring up the TV SETUP menu
and press to highlight OPTIONS. (Beo: Use ).
> Press the centre button to bring up the
OPTIONS menu and press to highlight
SOUND. (Beo: Press
GO
and ).
> Press the centre button to bring up the SOUND
SETUP menu and press to highlight SOUND
SYSTEM. (Beo: Press
GO
and ).
> Press the centre button to bring up the SOUND
SYSTEM menu. The active sound system is
shown. (Beo: Press
GO
).
> Press BACK to leave all menus. (Beo: Press
EXIT ).
An example of a sound system that can appear in
the menu is DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1. In this example,
the digits indicate the number of sound channels
that are available while the sound system is in
effect. For example, DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 refers to
Dolby Digital sound in five channels – left, centre,
right, left surround, right surround – plus one
channel for low-frequency sound.
Your speaker combination does not need to match
the number of available channels for the sound
system to be in effect.
