Operation
7.1 Safety
WARNING
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to trapping hazard!
Long hair, loose clothing or jewellery may be trapped and
pulled in due to rotating polishing bodies/rotating tips
and cause serious injuries.
•
When working with the instrument always wear
clothing that tears easily and never wear ties, bandan-
nas or scarves.
•
Always remove jewellery when working with the instru-
ment and tie long hair back.

Damage to property due to improper operation!
Improper operation may result in damage to the instrument
or to parts of optical frames.
•
Use the polishing motor in accordance with the infor-
mation and instructions in these operating instructions
provided by the polishing motor manufacturer.
7.2 Polishing
7.2.1 Attaching polishing bodies
CAUTION!
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to unsuitable polishing bodies! Unsuita-
ble polishing bodies may cause personal injury or damage
to property.
•
Only use a suitable polishing body with a conical
mounting hole.
Personnel: Specialized personnel
1. Attach polishing body with the same conical alignment on the polishing tip.
2. Tighten polishing body.
To remove the polishing body, hold the polishing tip on the
opposite side of the instrument and loosen the polishing
body to be removed by turning against the direction of the
thread.
