AIR REGULATION ON THE COMBUSTION HEAD
The combustion head has a regulation device that allows the air
passage between the disc and the combustion head to be opened
or closed.
You are thus able to obtain, closing the passage, high pressure
upstream of the disk even at low flow rates.
The high speed and turbulence of the air provides for its greater
penetration into the fuel and therefore an excellent mixture and
flame stability.
High air pressure upstream of the disk may be necessary to
prevent flame fluctuations, this is particularly essential when the
burner works on the furnace that is pressurised and/or at a high
thermal load.
Therefore, the air regulation device on the combustion head
should be put in such a position as to always obtain a decidedly
high air pressure value behind the disk.
In order to achieve this, you need to secure the device in an inter
-
mediate position on the head air closure and use the air damper
device to increase the flow to the fan intake. Obviously, this condi
-
tion must occur when the burner is working at the maximum power
required by the system.
Correct the position of the device that closes the air of the combu
-
stion head, moving it forward or backward, in order to obtain an air
flow suitable for the supply with the air damper considerably open.
When reducing the air passage on the combustion head, make
sure not to close it completely.
Check that the ignition occurs correctly. If the head opens excessi
-
vely, it could cause strong air turbulence leading to difficult ignition.
IONIZATION CURRENT
The minimum ionisation current needed to run the equipment is 3
µA.The burner flame generates a significantly higher current, whi
-
ch usually does not require any control by the equipment.Should
the ionisation current need to be measured, a microammeter must
be connected in series to the ionisation electrode lead by opening
the connector “C”, see wiring diagram.
