2. Monitor the function code 217, block number N+4 to deter-
mine the status of the slave expander bus.

If block N+4 = 0000, the test is successful.

If block N+4 = 2000, the test has failed (data passed back
was incorrect).

For more information on function code 217 errors, refer to
Table 

C-10
