Sharing Database 

Primary DD: 

1.  Under the Server page Check the box [X] Enable Data Server 
2.  Make note of the Port Number (Default is 8095) 
3.  Make note of the IP Address 

a.  If the network is DHCP then the indicator should be automatically assigned 

an address, however you will want to static set this address on the primary 
DD so that is doesn’t change. 

b.  To statically set and address first obtain the address settings from the 

customer IT group or if you are using a crossover cable or your own 
network switch you can set one yourself. 

i.  In this example, we will use IP Address 192.168.1.10 for the primary 

indicator iP address. 

c.  To Set the address on the primary indicator 

i.  Navigate to the Start Menu -> Settings -> Network and Dial-Up 

Connections 

 

ii.  DB-Click on the DM9CE1 (or AX88772B1 in Skynet) icon 

iii.  Mark the button the states Specify an IP Address and enter the 

address 192.168.1.10 and gateway address of 255.255.255.0
