Define Tined Lead Thresholds
31
•
Select the stimulation amplitude (
④
) and turn on stimulation
by pressing the stimulation button (
⑤
). (See manual section
Controlling Stimulation Amplitude
for more information).
•
The CP will deliver 1 second of stimulation to each electrode
at the selected amplitude. The rectangle around the electrode
will indicate which electrode is actively stimulating at a given
time.
•
Observe the response to stimulation (motor and/or sensory).
The combination of the selected stimulation amplitude and
the evoked responses inform whether tined lead placement is
generally acceptable or not.
After reviewing the stimulation responses, select the path
forward:
•
If the location is satisfactory, move on to the
Define
Thresholds
screen (
⑥
) to characterize the stimulation
response for each electrode.
•
If the tined lead location is not satisfactory, reposition the
tined lead and repeat this process.
•
If the tined lead needs to be removed and the foramen
needle replaced, return to the
Foramen Needle Test
Stimulation
screen to test stimulate the foramen needle
•
To exit the tined lead placement procedure, press “Exit” (
⑦
).
Note
: It may be desired to proceed directly to the
Define
Threshold
screen to simultaneously test initial lead placement and
characterize the response to stimulation at each electrode
