5.9 Updating the default fax resolution
You can use the Quality key on the control panel to update the resolution setting
temporarily (for this fax only).
There are four types of resolution mode that you can select, as depicted below:
STD.: Suitable for most typed originals.
Fine: Good for small print and transmits a little slower than STD mode.
S-Fine: Good for small print or artwork and transmits slower than Fine mode.
Photo: Use when the original has varying shades of gray This has the slowest
transmission time.
However, you can change the default resolution setting as follows:

46. Def. Res.
” appears
on the display.
5.
Press Set button.
6.
Use the scroll button to select the resolution mode you want.

Press Set button to save the selection.
