3.3 Receiving Faxes
When there is a fax being sent to the product, it will ring first, and then receive and print
the fax automatically.
If you want to stop receiving a fax before reception is completed, simply press Stop/Clear
button
.
Using “ON HOOK” or an external phone to send a fax
Using the “ON HOOK” button or an external phone to send a fax lets you hear the dialing,
ringing and fax-receiving tones while sending a fax.
1.
If it is not illuminated in green, press (Fax). Place the original face up in the ADF, or
face down on the scanner glass.
2.
Press On Hook and listen for a dial tone.
Or
Pick up the external phone connected to the product’s EXT. jack and listen
for a dial tone.
3.
Dial the fax number.
4.
When you hear the fax tone, press Start.
5.
Press the number key ,1, on a dialing pad to send a fax.
