Input/sensor address assignment
In a VT with 8 inputs, inputs IN1.0 to IN1.3 (X2I1) can
be read on data bits D1.0 to D1.3 from the first
participant and inputs IN 2.0 to IN 2.3 (X2I2) on data
bits D2.0 to D2.3 from the second participant. In a VT
with 4 inputs, inputs IN1.0 to IN1.3 (X2I1) can be read
on data bits D1.0 to D1.3. The state of the inputs is
displayed with LEDs. LED (yellow) illuminated: input
on HIGH (active).

Test and start-up
Electrical connection
O
The AS-i bus connection (yellow AS-i profile
cable) is plugged in and screwed down at the AS-
i (X7A) connection.
O
The power supply connection (black AS-i profile
cable) is plugged in and screwed down at the
AUX (X1S) connection.
O
If applicable, first connect sensors to the input
module and then connect the input module to the
VT.
O
Cover unused inputs with M12 sealing caps to
ensure the IP 65 protection class.
Start-up
Before the system is started up, the bus master
must be configured so that the valves and inputs are
correctly controlled.
Make sure that the system is in a defined state when
it is turned on! Ensure that all manual overrides are
set to zero.
Sensor input tests
The operativeness and function of the sensor
control should be checked before start-up.
Each channel on the VT has a LED for testing
purposes. This lights up when the signal level is
high.
Diagnosis display on the VT
The LEDs on the top of the VT display the messages
are listed in the table below. LED AUX green: power
supply is available.
These display elements are available twice on the 8
DI/8 DO module and are distinguished from each
other by the numbers one and two.
