6 TROUBLESHOOTINGS
Refer to the troubleshooting table below to identify problems, their probable causes and corrective actions :
Problem
Probable Cause
Breaking of the balls
(Ref.6)
* Bad lubrication of the moving parts can cause the breaking of the six(6) balls.
* If You use the unit for a long time at the maximum of the power, with the thicker
spring, the balls may break . Do not use the unit at the limit of its performances.
Solution
: To replace the broken balls, loose the upper sleeve (Ref.8) e take it
off from the lower sleeve (Ref.2). Polish, wash and lubricate to restore the
original conditions the parts hammer (Ref.9); tube guide (Ref.5); bearing sleeve
(Ref.4)
We suggest
: replace the bearing sleeve (ref.4) after the second breaking of the
balls
Breaking of the small
anvil key (Ref.20)
An incorrect locking of the collet nut (Ref.23) can cause the breaking of the small
anvil key (Ref.20), whose parts could position between the tube guide (rif.4) and
the ram anvil (Ref.19)
Breaking of a spring

A too exaggerated use of the unit can cause the breaking of a spring
Solution :
Replace the broken spring
We suggest
: Use a thicker spring , lowering the impact power
Inadequate
Marking
depth
A bad regulation of the impact spring can cause a too light or too deep marking .
Solution :
too light marking : load the impact spring or replace it with one with a
thicker thread; too deep marking : unload the impact spring or replace it with
smaller thread
No marking on the
part
Check the distance between the mechanism and the part to be marked.
