Outbound Proxy

Intermediate server that processes all VoIP requests and connections going 
to the provider (except registration).

PD

Pulse dialling - an older dialling method that transmits the dialled number to 
the exchange by interrupting the current in the A-wire of the phone 
connection.

PIN

Personal Identification Number - multi-digit secret code that has to be 
entered to get access to services or authorisations.
