6. Re-enter the new 4-digit PIN, and press the softkey under Save.
The message "System PIN changed" will be displayed.
Important: Do not forget you new system PIN! If you do, you will have to pay the
manufacturer to reset your PIN.
Resetting All Settings
When a handset or the base station is reset, all customized settings will be reset to the factory set-
tings. In addition, the caller list and the SMS list will be deleted (the telephone book remains intact).
The handset can be reset to the factory settings without affecting the base, and vice versa. This can
be useful in the following cases:

You want to reset a lot of wrong settings to the factory settings

When the telephone malfunctions (incorrect icons on the display, faulty functioning, etc.), e. g.
caused by noise in the system voltage or an electrostatic disturbance. A reset may solve the pro-
blem in this case.
1. Press the softkey under Menu.
2. Using your navigation keys, navigate to the Settings option and press the softkey under
OK.
3. Using your navigation keys (up/down), navigate to the Maintenance setting and press the
softkey under OK.
4. Using your navigation keys (up/down), navigate to the Reset setting and press the softkey
under OK.
5. Using your navigation keys (left/right), navigate to the option you want to change (Handset
or Base Station) and press the softkey under OK.
You will be asked to confirm the action.
6. Press the softkey under OK.
The settings will be reset.
