5. Using your navigation keys (left/right), navigate to the option you want to change (Service
1-4) and press the softkey under OK.
6. Enter the telephone number of the SMS centre, and press the softkey under Save.
7. Repeat steps 5+6 for further SMS centres.
Note: You can enter up to four SMS centres.
Registering and Deregistering Handsets at SMS Centres to Receive SMS Messages
To receive text messages, some SMS centres require a registration. This applies, for instance, to the
SMS centre of the Deutsche Telekom with the number "0193010". The one-time registration is cur-
rently free-of-charge and is done by sending an SMS with the text "ANMELD" to the number "8888".
Register each handset with which you want to receive messages.
If you no longer wish to use the SMS functionality, you can deregister the handset again by sending
an SMS with the text "ABMELD" to the number "8888". Messages sent to your landline number will
then be read aloud as a voice message.
Note:
Refer to the user manual of your handset to find out how to write and send text
messages.
If the registration fails, make sure that the SMS telephone number is correctly trans-
mitted by the connection.
If you operate the PBX from a line outside of Germany, ask your network provider for
a suitable SMS centre and the required registration procedure.
