Registering Handsets with the Base Station

Registering Handsets with the Base Station
You can register up to five handsets with a base station (a maximum of three is recommended). A
handset can be registered with up to four different base stations which are connected to separate
PBXs. For more details, see
chapter Selecting the Base Station on page 81 .
Requirements:
– Base station connected to PBX
– Charged batteries inserted into the handset
– Handset switched on and language selected
– Handset within range of the base station
1. Press the softkey under Menu.
2. Using your navigation keys, navigate to the Settings option and press the softkey under
OK.
3. Using your navigation keys, navigate to the Registration option and press the softkey
under OK.
The Register Handset option is displayed.
4. Press the softkey under OK.
5. Using your navigation keys (left/right), navigate to the option you want to change (Base 1-
4) and press the softkey under OK.
6. Enter the 4-digit PIN of the base station (0000 is the factory setting), and press the softkey
under OK.
The display will show the message "Press Paging key on base".
7. Press and hold the Paging key on the base station for about 10 seconds.
The Paging key will start to blink.
8. Release the Paging key on the base station.
The handset will automatically be assigned the next available handset number (1-5).
