Intalze dfferent buses and perform the followng functons:
Reset, Detect, and Dsable (functon 0); Statc Devce
Intalzaton (functon); Boot Output Devce Intalzaton
(functon 2). Functon 0 dsables all devce nodes, PCI
devces, and PnP ISA cards. It also assgns PCI bus numbers.
Functon ntalzes all statc devces that nclude manual
configured onboard peripherals, memory and I/O decode
wndows n PCI-PCI brdges, and noncomplant PCI devces.
Statc resources are also reserved. Functon 2 searches for
and ntalzes any PnP, PCI, or AGP vdeo devces.

Intalzaton (functon 4); General Devce Intalzaton (functon
5). Function 3 searches for and configures PCI input devices
and detects f system has standard keyboard controller.
Function 4 searches for and configures all PnP and PCI
boot devices. Function 5 configures all onboard peripherals
that are set to an automatic configuration and configures all
remanng PnP and PCI devces.
The Devce Intalzaton Manager (DIM) gets control at varous tmes durng
BIOS POST to ntalze dfferent system buses. The followng table descrbes
the man checkponts where the DIM module s accessed
