3 Menu Functions and Settings
RECORDING
The record screen enables you to record your drum performances; either solo, or while playing
along to a song . The recording feature is a great tool for reviewing song performances . It can also
be used create quick demo tracks that you can record onto an external device connected to the
xD3's audio outputs .
Note that the record feature does not capture audio from the AUDIO IN jack .

To start recording from standby mode, start playing the drums or press the SONG [
]
button to start song playback.
When recording starts, the elapsed recording time will be displayed .
When you plan to record with the metronome, it is recommended that you start the metronome
in advance while in record standby mode . When you are ready to start recording, start playing the
drums or press the SONG [
] button . The metronome will automatically synchronize with
song playback .
The metronome itself is not recorded and can be started or stopped during the recording process .

Press the [4] (
) button.
This starts playback of the recording . You can turn the metronome on / off during playback .

Press the [4] (
) button to stop playback.

To record again, press the [5] (REC) button and repeat from Step 1.
The previous recording will be deleted .

To end recording, press [2] (EXIT).
Pressing [2] (EXIT) returns you to the HOME screen .
*When you turn off the xD3, the recording data is erased .
*You can not start song playback after the recording process starts .
*You can not adjust metronome's tempo value while recording .
