Using the Visualizer
The visualizer tool displays the dynamics and timing of your strikes on the pads .
When the metronome is turned
off
Strike strength is displayed as bar graph with the vertical
axis representing a dynamic range from very soft 'pp -
pianissimo' to very loud 'ff - fortissimo' . The last strike is
displayed on the far right of the graph, and the previous
strike moves to the left . Using this tool you can monitor the dynamics of successive strikes . This is
useful when you want to check the even dynamics of a roll, or the dynamic contrast between light
taps and accented strokes .
When the metronome is turned on
When the metronome is turned on, the visualizer's
horizontal axis represents two measures subdivided
according to the beat setting of the metronome (p .29) .
The measure progress 'indicator' scrolls according to the
tempo, and the timing and strength of the strikes are displayed as vertical bars on the graph . The
vertical bars are displayed in real-time so you can visually check the timing and dynamic variation of
strikes in reference to the metronome .
