Return and recycling of batteries
The device contains batteries, both rechargeable and non-rechargeable, which are
necessary for its operation or for a particular function.
Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with this
symbol. It indicates that these batteries must not be disposed of
with household rubbish. According to the battery law, consumers
are legally obligated to return used batteries to the retailer or to a
public waste management authority. Due to their high heavy-
metal content old batteries can harm the environment and human
health.
Please help in this matter and make a contribution to
environmental protection by not disposing of batteries with
household rubbish.
Chemical symbols on the batteries signify which chemicals are contained in the battery.
The symbols have the following meaning: Cd - Cadmium, Mg – Magnesium, Pb - Lead.
Used batteries in the usual household quantities can be returned free of charge to the
shop where the device was purchased. In this way environmentally conscious disposal or
recycling of materials is ensured.
