The cost effective 12" C12BT60 is a complement to the 8CXT60 , 12CX , and 12CXT60 compression drivers for high
ceiling applications.
Atlas Sound Model
C12BT60
is a professional quality coaxial loudspeaker for use where full range music and voice
reproduction are desired and is ideal for high ceiling applications.
Model C12BT60 combines a 12" diameter low frequency reproducer and a 1" diameter high frequency, post-mounted
reproducer. The unit features a unique tweeter mounting plate that maximizes the tweeter's frequency response by
reducing phase cancellation from the woofer cone. A highly efficient built-in passive crossover network is included
for determining proper frequency selection between the two drivers. Both the low frequency driver and the tweeter
feature permanently aligned voice coils (1.5" and 1" diameter, respectively) to assure distortion free performance. A
factory installed 60 watt variable tap line transformer is included with the package. The transformer can be bypassed
easily for 8
Ω
applications.
The
C12BT60
will work well in even the smallest volume "Q" Series enclosure (Q4412 – 2 ft
2
) with a 3 dB down point
of 68 Hz. If required, low frequency response can be extended with larger volume enclosures. The inexpensive Atlas
Sound model
95-12
round enclosure may also be used with model
61-12
baffle.
