Use Atlas Sound's Surface Mount Series loudspeaker systems for commercial, professional and residential applica-
tions or where versatility and high-fidelity sound is desired. These systems are ideal for indoor and outdoor instal-
lation, in monaural and stereo foreground or background music systems, video systems in conference rooms & 
classrooms, boutiques / shops, restaurants / cafes, leisure, recreation / sports centers, and houses of worship.

All models are constructed of weather resistant materials: UV-resistant, talc impregnated, polypropylene injection 
molded cabinets; polypropylene or treated woofer cones; powder coated aluminum grilles and all brass hardware. The 
SM Series have been evaluated for weather resistance by a stringent 100 hour salt spray test per the ASTM B117 
standard passing the test with no visible corrosion or degradation of performance. 

A Multi-position, C-shaped mounting bracket is included with each model at no additional cost. Optional ball mount 
(model 

SMBALLMOUNT-B/W

) available for applications where concealed mounting hardware is required.

director. The high frequency section is symmetrical (90˚ H x 90˚ V) for equal coverage in both the horizontal or vertical 
cabinet mounting positions.

frequency device. Vocal and musical clarity is optimized by the mathematically conceived, advanced design of the 
Atlas Sound TRX WAVEGUIDE

™

 high frequency director. This design provides smooth, even sound coverage (90° H x 

90° V). The high frequency section is symmetrical, for equal coverage in both vertical and horizontal cabinet mounting 
positions. High frequency component protection is provided by the Atlas Sound PolyGuard

™

 protection circuit. 

The 

SM52

 includes basic magnetic shielding via a bucking magnet for the woofer section allowing use in near proxim-

ity to CRT monitors. Please note that the 

SM52

 is not 100% magnetically shielded. Mounting the speaker directly 

adjacent a CRT may cause display distortion.

The input section includes a 5-way binding post and parallel

" jack for easy daisy chain wiring in 8 

Ω

 applications. This 

input section is protected from the elements by a "tongue–in–groove" cover secured by two stainless steel screws.
