VM1616T User Manual

Baud Rate

To set the VM1616T’s baud rate, do the following:

1. Select

Baud Rate

from the

Set Serial Port

submenu. The cursor flashes on

the entry:

2. Use the In

dial and turn it clockwise (ascending) or counterclockwise

(descending) to select a number. Baud rate options are 9600, 19200,
38400, and 115200.

3. Press In/Out/Enter to confirm your selection.

Note:

The default baud rate is 19200.

Serial Port Mode

The VM1616T supports RS-232, and RS-422/RS-485. To set the VM1616T’s
serial port , do the following:

1. Select

Serial Port Mode

from the

Set Serial Port

submenu. The cursor

flashes on the entry:

2. Use the In

dial and turn it clockwise or counterclockwise to cycle through

the options.

Mode options are Bypass, RS-232 and RS-422/RS-485.

3. Press In/Out/Enter to confirm your selection.

Note:

The default mode is RS-232.

Serial Port Address: 0

Baud Rate: 19200

Serial Port Mode: RS232
