Browser Login
Overview
A graphical browser-based interface governs remote KN9008 / KN9016
administration as well as user configuration and port switching operations. The
switch can be accessed either via a Windows-based viewer or a Java-based
viewer. Before gaining access, you must first log in via an Internet browser to
connect to the KN9008 / KN9016.
Note: The Windows-based viewer is not available to non-windows platforms.
Logging In
To log in from an Internet browser, do the following:
1. Open your browser and specify the IP address of the KN9008 / KN9016
you want to access in the browser's URL location bar.
Note: 1. For security purposes, a login string may have been set by the
administrator. If so, you must include a forward slash and the
login string along with the IP address when you log in. For
example:
192.168.0.100/KN9016
If you don't know the IP address and login string, ask your
Administrator.
2. If you are the administrator, and are logging in for the first time,
the various ways to determine the KN9008 / KN9016's IP address
are described in the Appendix on page 145.
