IP Module Firmware Upgrade Recovery
If a firmware upgrade procedure was interrupted due to a sudden power failure
or loss of network connection, the ordinary firmware upgrade recovery
procedures described in
, page 45, may not work
for the IP module. In that case, to recover the IP module, do the following:
1. Power off the KH1508i / KH1516i and remove its housing.
2. Using a jumper cap, short the jumper on the IP module (the daughter card
located at the rear-left of the unit, above the mainboard), labeled J2.
3. Power on the switch.
The IP module will now work with the factory default firmware.
4. Do the firmware upgrade procedure again.
5. After the upgrade procedure completes: power off the switch; remove the
jumper cap from J2; close the housing; and power the switch on again.
