Using this Manual
1.3.1 Notational conventions
• Acronyms are defined the first time they appear in the text and in the
Glossary.
• The ASUS SL1200 is simply referred to as “
the router
” or "
Internet
Security Router
".
• The terms
LAN
and
network
are used interchangeably to refer to a
group of Ethernet-connected computers at one site.
1.3.2 Typographical conventions

Italics
are used to identify terms defined in the Glossary.

Boldface
type text is used for items you select from menus and drop-
down lists, and commands you type when prompted by the program.
