The ASCENT AS3424S switch has 24 10GE SFP+ ports. Each port has its corresponding
indicator: 1 to 24. You can connect the SFP+ optical module to the SFP+ port and then you can
connect other Ethernet terminal devices through the optical cable.

The switch shown in figure 3-8 does not represent the material ASCENT AS3424S.
ASCENT AS3424S provides with 4 40/100 GE QSFP+ ports. Each port has its corresponding
indicator: 1 to 4.
The four ports can be configured into 2 modes:

Set the rate of the port to 100Gbps
You can connect the QSFP+ optical port to the QSFP+ optical module and then you can
connect other Ethernet terminal devices with 100Gbps optical ports through the optical
cable.
