Semi-annually the cutterhead ballscrew, linear slides and the feed system linear slides should be 
checked and lubricated. Chains and sprockets should also be wiped clean and greased with ARTOS 
BALLSCREW GREASE part number 916-450. There are 6 grease fittings on the cutter head ball 
slides, 3 on the top carrier and 3 on the bottom carrier. These should be lubed semi-annually as well. 

The toolholders should be cleaned and lubricated with a light weight lithium grease. 

Check belt tension and adjust as needed. See “Belt Adjustments”. (See page 

36

)
