Sample configuration procedure

The example below shows how to setup a LAN configuration parameter for a potential SOL 
session with 

ipmitool

 for base 1 (channel 1) and base 2 (channel 2). Initialize this parameter 

according to your environment.

To set the IP address from Linux running on the board itself:

root@ATCA7490:~#

 

ipmitool lan set 1 ipaddr 172.16.0.221

Setting LAN IP Address to 172.16.0.221

To set the IP address of channel 1 from partner board in the shelf: 

root@ATCA7490:~#

 

ipmitool –b 0–t <ipmb_addr_of_target_board> lan set

To set the ip address of channel 1 from shelf external host:
