Press YES . The following prompt will be displayed:

The two or three digit number XX is the ASCII code for the character in
position one and the existing contents of line one of the header appear on
the second line of the display. Refer to the ASCII character set (Appendix
D) for a listing of the ASCII codes number 32 through 126, any one of
which may be employed in the header.
At this time, the first of the twenty characters on the first line may be
edited.
If the first character is to be a space, press “3”, then “2”, then ENTER . The
selected character now appears in the first position of the second display
line, and the top line prompts an entry for the second character.
If it is already correct, press
ENTER to confirm that choice. A character of
choice may be replaced by entering the appropriate code number and
pressing
ENTER . Continue in this manner until all characters have been
entered for the first line.
Once the first header line is completed, edit the second line in the same
way as the first. If the
RESET key is pressed in the middle of an editing
session, the original version of the header is saved, and the instrument will
return to the Main Menu.
Once the editing process is complete, the header information is saved in
memory for future use. It will remain until altered by a subsequent editing
session.
6.6 Computer Link Flags
The Computer Link Flags only have effect when the PCS is operating in
the “Linked” mode – that is, when it is controlled by the software in a host
PC, such as with Artel Pipette Tracker™ or PCS Software.
Access this option using the Setup Menu. (Refer to Section 6.1,
“Instrument Setup Menu.”)
